So far, so good. Little patience is needed though.

Pros

Good learning experience, opportunity to work with clients from diverse geographies, flat hierarchy, meritocratic. The company is going through the consolidation phase and hence, there are broken processes; but management is willing to invest in fixing these processes, which is a good sign for a growing company.

Cons

Thus far, HR practices were literally absent. However, it appears that management has turned a corner.

Good work culture, high degree of flexibility, good work life balance

Pros

- Flexibility - the company does a lot to ensure a good work life balance. You can work from home when needed, almost never have to work weekends, and rarely work over your stipulated 9 hours a day - Career paths are clearly defined. Appraisal processes have been recently overhauled, and are now fair, consistent and extremely participative - For a consulting job, the amount of travel is reasonable. On average, consultants travel for about 4-6 weeks in a year, though this tends to increase (to twice as much) as you grow in the firm - Work culture is very relaxed. You tend to work with smart people, yet none of the typical uber-competitive, pushy folks you would encounter at other similar firms

Cons

- The firm's focus sometimes veers away from consulting, and towards outsourcing & technology; thus, the occasional consultant gets staffed on projects they aren't necessarily happy with - Work hours in India take some adjusting to (2-11PM for most consultants). Add to that, the office location (middle-of-nowhere), and you effectively rule out social life of any sort on weekday evenings - Consultants in the US are hired rather 'fresh' in comparison to India; this leads to awkward situations with experienced India-consultants working for 24 year old's with very little experience

Pros

Autonomy, level of responsibility, lots of support, familial environment, strong culture.

Cons

Lack of processes in some areas - which one could see as an opportunity to add value. Somtimes, depending on the role, timing becomes a bit of a challenge.
