Name recognition and solid reputation particularly for dams and highway design and construction management. Good job security if working within the company's core competencies.

Cons

Young go-getters quickly become bored and start looking for more challenging opportunities with other companies. Older workers joining the company later in their careers may find themselves limited by a very parochial culture and nepotism. Employee satisfaction varies widely by office location and supervisor.
