Pros

Competitive salary Respectful and dedicated co-workers Engaging and thoughtful Senior management team Focus on training and improvements

Cons

The company is undergoing a lot of changes and upgrade efforts, therefore pace of change can be overwhelming sometimes especially for the non-investment employees

Has gotten progressively worse in the past 5 years

Pros

Quality of investment professionals are above the industry average Work is meaningful as monies go towards the government budget

Cons

Underperformance is tolerated for too long e.g. you can post negative investment returns for 3 - 5 years and no action will be taken. You will continue to be paid a bonus, which is subsidized by your friendly outperforming colleagues. Very high turnover in mid and back office Company is increasingly concerned with “image” rather than investment returns
