Pros

Its a job, and they compensate you with money... that is about it, I cant think of anything else. I am currently not on unemployment.

Cons

Raises usually 1%-2% once a year, No bonuses. They hold on to temporary employees for a long time before considering hiring them in. 401K 50% up to max of 3%. No tuition assistance. Health insurance is expensive PPO. Departments always fighting for functioning equipment as most equipment is over 30 years old and usually broken. Supervision seems to think employees are a burden. It's an overall struggle to make good parts with the outdated broken tools. Difficulty finding people because nobody knows the old equipment.
