Pros

Compensation was good and that is about it.

Cons

Everything else was terrible... imagine spending 50 hours a week under duress... not worth it.

We appreciate your concern about working 50 hours under duress. We reviewed our personnel files and were unable to locate any person who worked more than 43 hours prior at about the time of your post. We track work time closely and the average non-managerial employee works 43 hours per week. Different workplaces provide different cultures. We sincerely hope that you find a place where you feel well suited and shine.

Pros

The company moved to Kalispell last year. 11 people, including 4 women, moved more than 800 miles to stay with the company, which says a lot about how they feel about the company. I was told they moved because of the hosing prices in Oregon. People are pretty passionate about the work and helping clients. The company helps governments with safety issues like keeping guns from bad guys and protecting kids in foster care. The work is meaningful - IT can be a analytical, but this feels like I'm making a difference. There are opportunities to find your fit. My manger does a nice job of supporting my skill development. I started with limited technical skills. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to spend time with clients or on more technical stuff. They helped me. There is a lot of mutual respect and friends. People are genuinely nice to each other. Managers are friendly. Even the CEO took time to encourage me. The people on my team are the best. They have fun together and work hard. If you have a question, they always stop and help. I like being in an office where most people still work together. I've tried remote work and it's not for me. The pay is pretty good. Compared to my other experiences, this is a nice place to call home.

Cons

The work can be a little complicated. I wish they made it easier to learn. The clients are sometimes difficult to help. Some do not really understand software. Takes some patience. They can cause fire drills too -- which is sometimes stressful when you get an urgent issue at the end of the day.

Pros

Some really great people working under management. Great job for high school aged or early career adults. Great for learning how to operate in a dysfunctional organization.

Cons

Highly disappointing and uninspiring organization. Maliciously compliant. Employees required to work 45+ hours/week and log time in six minute increments for every task performed. Great for micro managing, which is common and blatant. Big demands and little compensation results in high employee turnover. Lack of experienced employees causes client work to be low quality and late. Client reviews reflect public employee reviews. Compensation does not match work requirements. Low base pay with complex incentive structure that nobody can attain or explain. Ask two managers how it works and you’ll get two different answers. Limiting benefits and time-off policies such as half year probationary period before you are “eligible” to use your accrued vacation time.
