Burnout Culture with Misplaced Priorities

Pros

Competitive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage

Cons

My experience as a Client Solutions Associate at GLG was ultimately disappointing due to the company’s lack of genuine investment in employee well-being. The role is highly transactional and volume-driven, with constant pressure to meet aggressive metrics that often feel disconnected from meaningful outcomes. Despite the demanding workload and long hours, there is little recognition for the effort required to keep up with expectations. The environment can quickly become exhausting, with burnout feeling more like the norm than the exception. One of the most frustrating aspects is the perception that employees are treated as interchangeable rather than valued contributors. Leadership frequently emphasizes performance metrics, but there is limited focus on employee support, development, or sustainability. While feedback is given, it can feel inconsistent or purely performance-driven rather than focused on growth. Additionally, work-life balance is difficult to maintain. Urgency is constant, priorities shift frequently, and the expectation to be always responsive makes it hard to disconnect. This contributes to a culture where employees may feel overextended without sufficient support. While the role does provide exposure to different industries and can help build foundational professional skills, it comes at the cost of a high-pressure environment that may not prioritize employee experience. Overall, GLG may be a fit for those looking to quickly build resilience and operate in a fast-paced setting, but those seeking a more supportive, people-focused culture may find it lacking.

A bunch of Hocus Pocus

Business Outlook

Pros

Good colleagues, arguably a good job post college (for like a year MAX)

Cons

I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is. Spent 5 years there, and watched it go further downhill every year. You leave with only soft skills (if that), and 0 actual industry knowledge. Seriously, you leave only knowing a bunch of Hocus Pocus. I am really surprised this company hasn't been bought yet. Or merged. On my team alone, we lost 7 out of our 9 managers since January... either due to layoffs or them quitting. Pay is low. There are no bonuses and it's very difficult to get a raise. 90k in NYC is poverty. There are bright people that come in with Masters, and PhDs, and MBAs -- handing them 90k is insulting.
