Pros

Learn tons about health and nutrition. There is a lot of down time in which (if you are interested in it, which you should be) you can educate yourself on health, vitamins, supplements and the like. You learn to practice what you preach.Education it gave me was priceless. If you are interested in the sales industry it is a great job to hone those skills.

Cons

Low pay, long committment needed to advance past store manager. There are commissions on various things, but it is really a college job. If you become a store mangager you will be making around $9 an hour.

Great solo work environment with potential to have quality customer interaction

Cons

Very little corporate alignment with sales associates and HQ. They seem to lack direction when it comes to the sales floor. Focus on one time sales too often rather than creating long term customers.

-Opportunities to help customers reach goals for their health -Employee discount was convenient -Depending on where you work the commission makes up for the minimum pay

Cons

-Pressure to reach KPI goals can be stressful -Tough to balance between personal time and work -Hardly any incentives for PTSA's -Demanding environment when working at a high volume store by yourself whether focusing on sales or any other tasks
