Pros

GOLFTEC pay is typically significantly higher than most assistant pro jobs at clubs. For a new professional in the golf industry, it is a great place to gain experience and be well trained in teaching. The schedule is also better than most golf jobs by getting one day on the weekend off and getting paid holidays.

Cons

The only real con is that this is still a job in golf, and the golf industry is not very lucrative. You will make more at GOLFTEC than most other golf jobs, but there is limited potential to move up in the company. After a few years when your book is mostly full you won’t be able to take on new students, which also means you won’t be able to keep increasing sales.
