Pros

At least 1 weekend day off, uniforms provided, extensive training program

Cons

I managed one of the centers. It's all about sales and has absolutely nothing to do with getting people better at golf. They want you to sell everyone that comes in the door 52 golf lessons and your expected to renew them every year. Who the heck needs that many golf lessons. Ridiculous incentive programs created by corporate that are unattainable, the worst benefits known to man, and no room for advancement. Corporate is very cut throat. The first chance they get, they will bring in someone younger to work for less. Don't work for these people, avoid the cool aide at all costs

Great, but not great

Pros

I love giving golf lessons and building the game of golf and golftec is a great place to do that. I would give less stars, but I love teaching the game.

Cons

You would think with the amount of money people pay for golf lessons you would be paid more. Unfortunately, they take that money to spend elsewhere like every other corporation. It’s also discouraging to be paid less per hour as a PGA pro than someone who is not. Basically works out to about $10 / lesson. If you hit a goal, they really only give you an extra $1.50/lesson.

Pros

Video teaching with cameras greatly enhances your understanding of the golf swing.

Cons

They say the base pay is adjusted by location for cost of living. It's a lie. I was paid $11.75 per hour in one of the most expensive cities in the country. You have to perform at an extremely high level to make a living. You teach 52 lessons to one person and make a very small amount of money for that. Leadership made promises to accommodate travel that was not taken care of. Bottom line is the work, hours, and pay do not balance. You have to be a top performer and have a very solid book of business built to maybe make 50-60k if you are lucky. Good luck financially to future employees. I could not afford my rent and had to work a 2nd job.
