      Pros

      Great People, great work life balance. Varied work and great at empowering employees to take ownership of tasks, projects, etc. Truly global organisation with the opportunity to collaborate with colleague all around the world. The have an excellent benefits package, one of the best for a FTSE 100. HQ in Brentford is an impressive building with great canteen, restaurant, bike shop. They even have a hair dressers!

      Cons

      Lots of changes in recent years with a lot of outsourcing so lots of good people being made redundant, presumably due to cost savings, however, this is inevitable for most large organisations these day and GSK provides a good redundancy package.

      Pros

      Good, open minded culture. Good benefits. Good work/life balance - can work from home occasionally. Good people to work with. Many opportunities to learn new science.

      Cons

      Slow career progression. Promotions are not based on performance, but on tenure. Very small raises despite high performance ratings. Low pay overall. As with anywhere, recognition depends on the project you work on. Company not the most successful currently.
