Pros

Benefits and salary are good. Ability to work and learn with some very talented staff. Global organization allows for great networking.

Cons

Managers are hired because of their degree with little to no actual management experience. There is a definite good ol' boys club mentality and a low glass ceiling for scientists that are actually making the drugs that are making the managers more wealthy and move higher in the organization. The recent layoffs were another blow. 450 people laid off, many with 20 plus years experience and there was little to no HR support available. These people dedicated their careers to the company and there was not even a thank you note for their service. Have a look at the stock price, it's clear your investors aren't satisfied either.

Pros

As far as I am concerned they have entered into a realm of protecting profits at all costs.

Cons

They have zero loyalty to employees which includes those employees who have dedicated most of their lives to the company. Many have been downsized out without even so much as a note of thanks after giving 20+ or even 30+ years of their lives to the company. Many employees have commented on a mgmt style of high pressure and intimidation which greatly damages employee moral as well.
