      Pros

      GSK takes care of their employees. Great benefits and respect work life balance. They also have a year end shut down in addition to vacation where the company shuts down at the end of the year for about a week.

      Cons

      There was significant restructuring that took place every year I was woth GSK that included layoffs. They had also changed the comp plan that was based a lot on subjective matter and it was difficult for a sales person to adjust to.

      As per local news - GlaxoSmithKline is significantly shrinking activities in Research Triangle Park, N.C., as it shifts most of its R&D operations to sites in Philadelphia and Stevenage, England. Over 900 job losses have occurred in 1995.
