Pros
My experience has been positive - good leaders, good development and opportunities, good exposure to the 'workings' of the organisation and the strategic decision-making (even when in roles that weren't senior). Fun people to work with who genuinely care about the work they do. Excellent at allowing balance of work and home commitments. However all the above is highly dependent on which part of the organisation you're in and who your senior and immediate leaders are - I've heard other people with totally different experiences.
Cons
The organisation has lost its mojo over the past couple of years.....lots of cost-cutting and reductions, highly risk-averse approach (especially after China). The CEO, who has been universally liked and respected since coming in and who has changed the culture of the organisation for the better, has become almost invisible and is 'losing' his staff.
