      Just don't look for jobs in RTP

      Pros

      Has been a great company to work for the past 10 years, but the time for RTP has come to an end. Great benefits!

      Cons

      Very flat organization which has its benefits but also makes it hard to get experience with supervising. Promotions are also difficult with levels being joined together.

      Pros

      Salaries are top-notch in my area and the benefits are great too. They take good care of their employees. There are programs to reward good work. There are also program to try out new areas of the company so you become well rounded.

      Cons

      The management is abysmal from top to bottom. Too many chiefs, not enough indians. Constant reorganization (threats of layoffs, changing priorities, etc). Travel to conferences has been chopped. No capital budget for up to date instrumentation. Seems like each quarter we're selling assets to ensure shareholders are paid first.

      Pros

      Good compensation, enjoyable work environment, great people. The company offers various resources and help for professional growth of employees of all levels, strives for integrity, high quality products, and positive impact to people's lives.

      Cons

      Limited promotions. Under pressure to change for survival, shrinking pharmaceutical R&D, inefficiency and wastes in some cases as results of poor management decisions.
