Pros
Very collaborative people culture - people genuinely care about each other. Attracts down to earth, 'decent' people, comfortable in their own skin Works with world class agencies in marketing - so great place to learn
Cons
- Bizarre organizational structure with the functions only reporting into the business at the CEO level .. as a result company operates in functional silos versus to the needs of the business. - Ratings, career highly dependent on your manager as your one up manager often has no visibility what you're doing -Heavy on process and absurdly slow .. most probably since at its heart GSK is a drug company with all the regulatory hurdles that come with that -Unclear roles/ responsibilities between the markets and the center -Unclear whether consumer health will remain in GSK or be spun off -management feels old. There is a sense that 'you have to do your time' at level no matter how strong you are
