A very dystopian society where upper management favors the "flavor of the week". Work on a high profile project, and you wield the power (for the time being) and get special favors. Gabriels Technology Solutions takes from and suppresses its work force, and gives very little in return.
Once you fall out of "power", it's difficult to get back on their good graces and you're left to fend for yourself on lower profile projects - despite how hard you work.
Your best efforts are ignored, unless management considers you an "unchallenging friend/employee" who placates upper management's very unprofessional comments and jokes. Woe to those who try to bring a semblance of respect and compassion to the organization.
You are either part of solution and their agenda, or part of the problem.
