Pros

There is literally nothing good about Galderma Australia

Cons

Lack of Strategy and Leadership: The company lacks any coherent strategy or courage to innovate. The management team is ineffective and incapable of making decisive actions. In my first three months, I witnessed three different colleagues cry to me, feeling bullied by the management. Misleading Achievements: Galderma is excellent at over-inflating its achievements and market position. While they boast about double-digit growth, this is primarily due to channel expansion, not true organic growth, and is unsustainable in the Australian retail environment. Management Issues: The management team prioritizes following guidance from Singapore at the cost of relationships with local retailers. There is a clear favoritism within the consumer team, where only those in the "inner circle" receive support, leaving others and their accounts neglected. This favoritism is blatant and unchecked. Poor Work Environment: The expectation is to work extra long hours, with no real processes or career progression opportunities. The flat structure and immobile higher management mean no room for advancement. While they claim you manage your own career, this is merely a line to placate employees. Ineffective HR: Despite having an HR function, it is ineffective and unresponsive. The entire management team, including middle managers, lack the qualifications and experience necessary for their roles. Always wants more: The regional president and global CEO send emails constantly asking people to work harder, even when they try and acknowledge the work being done its delivered robotically and then immediately followed by we want more output. If you are considering working for Galderma Australia keep in mind you will always be a number and due to the management team being ineffective you always have to cover your back in writing otherwise when the heat is turned up they will pin their dumb decisions on you - be warned
