Pros

Every company out there talks about culture, work/life balance, and values. I have not worked at a company that mentions, let alone focuses on these things, these things beyond the recruiting process. Galloway is different and you can feel that the company, from leadership on down, believes in and lives the values. Leadership, and the processes they have developed, really do put work/life balance as a focus. They clearly put their employees first and focus on bringing quality work to clients by hiring, training, and retaining great staff. The culture here is the real deal and I feel lucky to be a part of it.

Cons

At times, work will pile up and you will have to buckle down and put the hours in to get it done. This is no different than other companies I have worked for, but it happens with semi-regular frequency. It would be nice to hire more staff to help minimize the extra hours that need to be put in from time to time.

Pros

The company prides itself on building a family culture. There are many extracurricular events and outings that help to build culture and camaraderie, as well as internal team trainings that let you everyone voice opinions and give you an opportunity to be listened to and respected. The leadership seems to care about everyone, top to bottom. This is particularly true with the area leads or team managers. If you truly care about the work you do and want to progress in the field, you will find someone who will advocate for you. You get what you put in at Galloway.

Cons

Every day isn't perfect and there are times when projects and deadlines stack up on each other, making things a little difficult. You will likely have to put in a few extra hours to get a job out, or to help a teammate. Understanding this is the nature of the industry is the key here. Being able to lean on managers or team mates during this time makes things easier and much more manageable.

Pros

Galloway is an A&E firm that truly values and retains its employees. The firm is very supportive of individuals growing as professionals. The firm also fosters a very positive, healthy work environment. There is a great balance between work/life but obviously everyone is encouraged to work hard. Great benefits/diverse type of work/team-oriented/positive/engaging/fulfilling.

Cons

Sometimes there are weeks that require extra hours but this is typical of the profession. The option of flex time helps with the extra hours as well. Sometimes communication can be difficult but that happens with a larger firm that is growing at a quick pace.
