Pros

If you do end up at Gallup, learn as much as you can as quickly as you can. The content, employee engagement & Strengths are incredible and the research is amazing. Reach out to as many researchers as you can and learn, learn, learn.

Cons

If you are in Sales the environment is horrible. The numbers speak for themselves. I worked in Irvine where there was more than 100% turnover in 24 months and the sales cycle was 2+ years which means out of the 10 or so sales folks hired, only 2 had a sale. Management is horrible and admittedly so.

Pros

Flexibility and vacation policy. Good brand name - primary recognition with polling. No performance reviews - very "nice" people who focus on strengths. Highlighting or recognizing weaknesses is taboo.

Cons

Poor management, either young and inexperienced or older and focused on product sales. This is not a consulting company - it is a company that sells surveys. Titles of Partner and Engagement Manager - reality is Sales and Project Manager. Little to no intellectual capital being generated. If you spend your time "consulting" and solving problems - you are looked at negatively because you do not "believe in the products." My recommendation is NOT to join this company if you have aspirations to join a consulting company to do consulting. This is not a company that values an MBA.
