Pros

You can make your own schedule

Cons

The pay is awful. The way employees are paid is awful. If you even mention the word union to another employee at Gallup, you WILL BE TERMINATED. Gallup's motto may be "helping people be heard", but don't expect to be heard ad an employee. I've also noticed and heard that employees who give LOW SCORES on the Q12 employee satisfaction survey are usually fired by their supervisor. This survey is supposed to be anonymous.

Pros

Gallup is a strengths based organisation that not only allows every employee to be authentically themselves, but celebrates the uniqueness of each and every contributor - that is hard to beat in a working environment! - Because authenticity is celebrated, true friendships can truly blossom at work. Gallup has been preaching this for decades, having best friends at work is great for business and individual wellbeing: - Hugely mission driven, energising projects. - Trust and Autonomy are huge!

Cons

-At some point you can no longer preach about wellbeing to clients when you consistently understaff...especially the consulting team. As a private and family owned company, Gallup's foremost goal is to be profitable - that means there is no hiring done until the project is actually sold and needs to be delivered, sometimes with a skeletal staffed project team. As you can tell from people leaving, this leads to burnout and resentment since Consultants don't get overtime paid nor do they ever get an additional cash bonus for making the impossible possible...over and over again. As an employer you have a duty of care...especially to those individuals with 'Achiever' talent that have a hard time saying 'no'.
