Pros

Favorite thing: My favorite thing about Gallup, hands down, are the people who work here. Surround yourself with greatness and it challenges you to be the best version of yourself. High accountability. High achievers. Wicked smart. Super fun. Great friends. That's what you'll be surrounded by everyday. Career opportunities: We focus on aligning team member's deliverables with their strengths. When I've shared that I want to be challenged, I get challenged! When I've voiced concerned that something isn't in my wheelhouse, we explore getting the effort moved to the best person. Career advancement isn't about a new title - it's about taking on new challenges and responsibilities. Pay plans are all individualized so you don't have to feel like you need to fit into a box - it's more of a "write your own adventure" career path - great for "intrapreneur" thinkers. Work/Life Balance: I almost always work more than 40 hours a week because I really like the work I get to do! I also leave for my kids events and don't ever feel like I need to miss anything important for my family. I fact, my team would probably be disappointed if I did miss something big. When I share that I'll be leaving early to catch my kiddo's game with my manager and team, I often get emails back from both sides wishing her luck (by name, because we know each other well here). My team knows I'll catch up on emails later that night if needed. I love that I can be a great team member, manager and mom.

Cons

Just like joining any new company, it can take some time to adjust to life at Gallup. The biggest surprise I had after joining was learning how hard it can be to stand out for your performance. There is SO. MUCH. TALENT. in this company. I imagine it's a little like an all-star college player making the move to the NBA. They were great in college but in the NBA - everyone is amazing. This might not be a con - it helps to make me better - yet it was a surprise.

Pros

Autonomy, great mission, lots to learn, great co-workers (depending on office)

Cons

Very different experience in each office (I worked in three different locations), some great, some less so, lots of verbal support from management and leadership, but little follow through, lots of favoritism, very numbers oriented with almost no sales support
