- Horrible pay and constant excuses for why it can’t be better - Corrupt non-profit - Upper level/Executive staff often have no business doing what they are doing and no one cares - Awful safety standards, particularly in residential programs - staff sleeps on the job, management is weak on disciplining staff who don’t do their jobs bc they’re afraid they’ll quit, and the good staff end up leaving bc the environment is toxic - Executive management dates/gets involved with employees, she puts her unqualified friends in charge of programs (and they then proceed to run off any good staff because of their toxic behavior), and lower management also gets romantically/physically involved with employees.

Many of the staff are unprofessional and not equipped to provide trauma informed care to the youth. And unfortunately they cannot find many people who are because we are extremely underpaid for the work we are expected to do.
