Pros

Dynamic workplace with lots of energetic, talented people. High ethical standards. Gap is about as good a corporate citizen as there is out there. Talented individuals who are willing to conform to the company's culture have good possibility for advancement. Good benefits with an awesome vacation policy. The clothing discounts are nice--your closet will be overflowing within a couple of years. Obviously, attire is very casual. Seems like everyone here is in their 20s and 30s.

Cons

A little "too" PC, annual bonuses are a roll of the dice. Long hours and tons of meetings. The company hasn't been doing well, and retail is highly volatile so there are layoffs. Seems like everyone here is in their 20s and 30s.

Pros

The merchandise discount is phenomenal across all company brands (Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic). The employees and management are generally kind and willing to listen, however are often busy and frown on fraternizing in the workplace.

Cons

Late closing hours, early opening hours, gossipy coworkers.

Pros

Friendly employees, pleasant work atmosphere-while jamming to current music, excellent merchandise discount including sister brand stores: Old Navy & Banana Republic, good balance of work and life, on the job training with emphasis placed on customer service to all patrons, opportunities to learn new skills and grow.

Cons

Store sales floor up-keep could falter and be messy especially during Christmas shopping season due to low hours available for payroll. Not the best job choice for anyone who cannot maintain store appearance standards (neat piles, items placed where they belong) and put things back and away for people trying items on in the dressing rooms.
