Pros

Lots of overtime available, safety training is worth it.

Cons

AC in truck cab is not good, then in the box it s sub freezing. You alternate very hot/very cold all the time. Milk crates are in random order in the box, imagine a giant Tetris where you need to fill and move thousands of pounds with a metal hook to prepare yourself your delivery orders while the reefer unit blows sub freezing air in your face at 3 am. Delivery orders look like a soviet union alternate reality, printed by a daisy printer of the 1980 era. Dash cam spies on you. Lots of favoritism, some people transport empty crates while some super heroes do a great job day after day. This food industry field has strong competitors, which is why they are shutting down plants.

Pros

Good wages and benefits. Modern up to date vehicles. Strong customer base. A lot of long term workers that are generational.

Cons

Early work hours and the job is physically demanding. Constant moving of freight that is typically between 200 to 1400 pounds
