- Very intelligent management (e.g., Ex-McKinsey, Ivy League educated) - Gym in the basement of the Stamford building - Company overall is on the up and up

Cons

- Pay is WAY below market and similar analyst and associate programs - Office politics is RAMPANT. Incredibly toxic environment where if management doesn't think you're a good fit, they will bully you into leaving - Work can be uninspiring

Pros

Gartner has built its reputation on the IT/Supply Chain/Marketing Side where they are best in class for the advisory services they provide and they are a well recognized name that opens doors when you're trying to win new business.

Cons

Through the acquisition of CEB, they have tried to bring the Gartner model to CEB. It is going through a lot of growing pains right now with a lot of internal complexity. The programs at CEB don't have the depth or the support they need to be sold at a world class level like Gartner's legacy business. They are trying to get there, but it takes time. The deal pace has not been what they anticipated, and it will take a lot of effort to get there.

Collaborative environment. Good benefits. Financially strong .

Cons

This is not a place to go if you are career oriented. Gartner does not value your sales career. The average sales representatives tenure is 9 months (A statistic provided by Gartner). The turnover is the worst I've seen at any company. They ask a lot from you and provide little in return.
