Pros

Practice engaging with C-level executives Developing and presenting business cases

Cons

Leadership in healthcare MSE are all friends, so no one is held accountable. Managers that verbally abuse their employees are promoted within the company. They thrive on a culture of fear and micromanagement. They prey on young, new sellers or interns to mold their behaviors into what leaders want to see, despite their sales tactics being outdated. When they hire seasoned sellers with external experience, they feel inadequate and coach them to quit or put on a PIP and fired. Even if they just personally don't like you, they will find a way to get rid of you. If you're BIPOC, forget about applying. MSE Healthcare is 90% blonde white women and white men. If you do get a position on the team, they will find a way to performance manage you out. They're all in delusion about the status of Gartner outside of their own internal bubble. Clients have been leaving Gartner in droves because of their increased prices for multiple products, most of which clients are replacing with AI. The only benefit to them are the expert interactions, but AEs are constantly pressured into upselling their clients into larger, costlier products that don't often make sense for them. We are trained to exhaustion on the "value of Gartner" against AI and LLMs instead of acknowledging that something needs to change in Gartner's business model.

Pros

Typically they hire great people who are good at their jobs, and generally want to be there. It makes for a very health working environment.

Cons

It is easy to feel lost and unseen. The company has gotten so big, decisions, and project process take forever to get anything accomplished

Pros

-Colleague's on the same level are supportive -Detailed check list of what to do on calls (Also a con for some, including me)

Cons

-Micromanagement: Sales Managers are super micro, it feels very uncomfortable at some point. -Detailed check list of what to do (why it was a con for me): They have a certain script and certain check list for you to do while on calls which kills your personality and your adaptability in situations. Certain clients this works - others you need to be agile and they have no room for that. The sales manager usually does that, but you get scolded if you do it on your own accord.
