Pros
Paid Time Off starts immediately. Flexible to an extent with accommodations for medical necessities. Give employees access to the entirety of Gavilon employee contacts. Meaning one could look up higher up branches of management from the very bottom of the food chain, clear up to the highest level employee.
Cons
Where to begin… -Hostile work environment -Lie to save their own tails -Will fire someone for trying to make them honest Sexual assault/harassment are daily and you absolutely have to tolerate it 10000000% -They will belittle, bully, name call, threaten, retaliate and set out to cause as much damage to a person as possible. -If you go to HR for help? It will only go poorly and hurt you in the long run. -The benefits are astronomically expensive, but cover nothing and are accepted in fewer places. -They will go out of their way to violate OSHA standards that will result in long term suffering. Examples of what I subjected to (and have video, audio, and written confirmation of happening): *had zero experience grading corn/soybeans and never worked in an elevator previously. On my second day, going on about 5 hours of experience, ***** stood behind me with his heads on both sides of his head screaming at the top of his lungs and stormed off. *next day, screamed at for doing the job the way I was told to do so, the day before. *day 3- rinse and repeat. *the second week there, my ***** pulled me into his office and told me I was not allowed to make a single mistake and if I couldn’t do that, he would fire me immediately. *two men in particular there were constantly making comments that made me uncomfortable. Ranging from telling me the sexual things they’d do to me, to cornering me in a closet and try to kiss me and stick their tongue down my ear. I also had others messaging me telling me how good I looked and how nice it was to have me to look at. *when asking for help, I’d be punished. This could be things like threats or forcing me to sweep mud in the middle of a thunderstorm and dodging semis (one driver ran in terrified because he was sure he hit me). *my ***** stood less than 2 feet from me and allowed a truck driver older than my grandfather to slap my butt 3 times. *after reporting my *****, he erased the entirety of the security camera footage and I got written up for it. *I was also written up for asking to find out someone’s name. See, I had an active no contact order against someone for trying to run my daughter and I over because meth is great for one. When I asked and explained why, I showed a picture of the guy and we all agreed it was either the same guy or his doppelgänger. Then a fellow coworker ended up calling the the drivers boss and asking the drivers name. I was written up for wanting to know if it was him or not. *they willfully put me in dangerous situations then paid a Doctor off to a write a report stating I lied about the 5 different times I was injured in the exact same way due to my supervisors negligence, per his orders to continue to do it the way it was unsafely. * my ***** ***** ***** came up after I turned in a bunch of proof with multi people submitting their own, I was ripped into and threatened if I did that again I wouldnt have a job anymore. When speaking with them I asked about how we are to grade grain. I was told the official, legally binding way. My ***** wouldn’t permit it to be done this way. *they have it coded in for the computer to subtract a minimum of 60 pounds off each inbound load to make it lighter, cheating the farmer. It subtracts as it’s transferred from the scale to the computer. I figured it out and began working with IT. I had previously been forbidden from writing grades and weights down to document if there were any variations. Especially after they had a guy deleting tickets and changing the information to cheat the farmers yet again. I didn’t listen, kept making them and this what my 3rd write was for so they could fire me. Review of the 3 write ups for firing- 1-reporting my ***** and all of the violations he kept making. 2- asking for help in figuring out if the guy I thought was the person I had a no contact order against, if it was him or not. 3- trying to abide by FGIS laws and regulations. They claim to be a company for promoting women in the work place. They are the exact opposite. It got to the point where I actually contacted the highest level of ***** I could- the ***** of it. They also will bad mouth you to cover their own. Ive had potential jobs tell me the lies they’ve told, and apologized but they won’t hire someone that has a company such at that harassing them. They wanted me to sign an NDA, but I told them I wouldn’t unless it was worth my while. They signed a paper stating they wouldn’t bad mouth me, yet here we are.
