Pros

- Friendly collegues - lot of knowledge sharing(eventough people still not understand) - repetitive work(for people like to do same thing again and again) - good for senior people, company treat them really good eventhough small output from them

Cons

- Average pay only when joining, the salary will be lower thab market along with seniority without promotion - lack promotion chance (lot of software engineers with 6 years of experience and still software engineer) and company keep recruiting manager externally(which contradicting with promotion from within) - no welfare in office( no free snack or drink) - Unrealistic financial target due to long term plan - big movement of R&D teams to cheaper country - less to no appreciation of employee hardwork, most of appreciation only as office politic reason - employee retainment is bad(many of skillful employee has left the company) - challenge is not come with reward - Company is in unstable state and management keeps blaming market and low level employee instead of thinking better solution than cost cutting

Pros

- mostly skillful, and friendly colleagues - friendly managers

Cons

- long hours for certain projects - need to adjust with other countries timezone for meetings - management thinks it is good idea to push people and keep doing it - travelling is likely (could be pro if you like travelling for business, and you don't have anyone who cares) - the management keeps saying company doesn't profit much, for two consecutive years now, thus your bonus or increment is minimal - project budget and employee welfare budget is incredibly low - toilets are not so clean

Pros

Politics free , multi cultural working environment, colleagues are friendly and helpful. Flexible work hours, as long as you get the job done.

Cons

Very bad salary, increments, and bonus. Grow in the company is difficult. Shareholders is all company care about, too aggressive in cost cutting affecting employees wellbeing. Title says R&D, but you may be asked to do a lot of validation and documentation. HR did not really do anything to improve the wellbeing of employees. A piece of advice for engineers who may wanted to join Gemalto, during the negotiations of salary, do be careful. HR tend to offer underpaid salary.
