Fulfilling role however understaffed

Pros

Meet amazing people, staff and residents. Very fulfilling role knowing your helping others. Potential for growth due to lack of staff.

Cons

Challenging hearing survivors stories and seeing aftermath it causes. Heavily understaffed causing rota problems and ratio staff to resident issues. Lone working when you should not be. Can be sent to other locations last minute due to poor staffing. Initial training is poor and little input from management. Dealing with daily conflicts with residents whilst lone working. Training for potential growth unlikely due to lack of staff.

Pros

Set amount of work everyday. You knew what you had to work on everyday so it took the guesswork out of it. Very friendly people in that department. Got bonuses over the holidays. After you clocked out you didn't have to think about the job.

Cons

Can get a bit repetitive after a while.
