Pros

Great science and highly skilled and dedicated employees. Genuine passion for following the science and "doing the right thing" for patients. Beautiful campus and project teams always well-resourced.

Cons

After being acquired by Roche, many of GNE's most inspiring and talented people departed. In my view the unique culture lost its vibrancy. Roche enforced "quotas" on manager's performance reviews that undercut employees sense of being valued by the company.

Thank you for leaving a review. Since founding the biotechnology industry, our mission to improve the lives of patients’ remains central to our work everyday. While our merger with Roche has helped us grow in many ways, we continue to hold onto our traditions and culture here at Genentech. We appreciate any recommendations you may have in helping us enhance our culture. Thank you for leaving a review and for your time here!
