Pros

World-class research expertise and resources. Company does a good job, from benefits perspective, in treating their employees

Cons

Lots of politics to navigate, especially if you are in research and development. There is stability in scientist jobs, but slow upward mobility depending on which department you are in the company

Pros

Good benefits, very good wages

Cons

No definitive leadership in place in forever. Because of concensus-driven processes, nothing 'hard' ever gets accomplished until headcount reductions occur. Even then, the same lousy practices stay in place.

Although some changes have occurred, such as our merger with Roche, we’ll never forget where we began and will continue to create an environment where our employees can do their best work. We are grateful for our employees and thank you for the 10+ years you have dedicated to helping us bring breakthrough medicines to patients.
