      Pros

      Overall Genentech is a great company. They care about their employees by giving them great benefits! They also have a lot of employee culture building activities, such as the hohos, concerts, and holiday parties.

      Cons

      The organization does a lot of restructuring every few years. I noticed recently there's been quite if few executive management leaving Genentech for other companies. It is also hard to get certain changes pushed through because processes that impact the network also need to be vetted with other sites. My particular site is known to be more conservative, which may have ultimately resulted it is current day situation.

      Mission-orientated company with dedicated employees. Nice coworkers who are friendly to each other and have a comprehensive benefit offering with commuter options, perks, and many more.

      Cons

      Changes within the organization that are hard to keep up with and constant transformations.

      Pros

      I appreciate how progressive our organization is. They are truly committed to advancing our hiring goals for Black and Latinx professionals in leadership positions. It's also refreshing that they can speak so openly about their diversity goals. Sometimes other companies are more conservative in their diversity goals. The people who work here actually enjoy their work. It shows in the quality of work they produce, and it's great to work with people who genuinely like their jobs. Together, we are all making a positive impact.

      Cons

      Sometimes, the time difference can be challenging if you are not working on the West Coast. Overall, I do not have any complaints.
