Pros

There are no Pros unless you are a yes person.

Cons

Does not practice what they preach. Does not work with people that have medical issues. If you are on FMLA you don’t qualify for any incentives and they hold having medical issues against you. Moving up in the company is impossible unless you are in the in group. This place is a revolving door and hire people that are in Jail.

Conservative and Antiquated Company Culture.

Pros

Generac offers competitive pay and are venturing into exciting ways of using technology to drive business improvements. They are making significant investments in the headquarters building in Waukesha. An on-site gym is being worked on and slated to be operational soon. They are also pushing into the global market more and more. Generac is also very involved from a corporate citizenship standpoint.

Cons

I have only been at Generac a short period and have noticed a very old way of doing business. The culture is very conservative. I have noticed that the executive belt rarely ever communicates to the employees and seems to operate from a pedestal. Diversity is lackluster. I was hesitant on taking the job based on the negative feedback on here and decided to take a risk anyway. I am starting to regret making that decision. The feedback here is very accurate and Generac needs to take it seriously. An example of a really conservative way of doing business is the use of internet quota times and very restricted internet usage. YouTube for example is under the quota system, even though there are legitimate business reasons to use it. What it says to me is that they don’t expect their employees to act with integrity or behave like adults. I would definitely advice you to really think about taking an offer from this place. This is going to be a relatively short stop for me. I am hanging on to some hope that this place changes for the better, but I am not optimistic.
