GA-ASI: bringing knives to gunfights

Pros

Secure employment, pension, ample parking

Cons

Leadership is like a senile dog chasing its tail, only to start attacking itself because it thinks it's a squirrel. Is this analogy helpful or decisive? No, but neither is management at General Atomics.

Poor salary and bonuses

Pros

It's a really slow pace work environment, perfect for a 1st job then move on to better companies.

Cons

It's really hard to get promoted from within unless you have a military background and friends with same background in management. Job openings get posted just to comply to regulations, but the position is already given to someone.

Pros

Not perfect, but not terrible. PMs are treated well although no training is given and many PMs have no real experience in the role. They were officers in the military or promoted through nepotism/favoritsm, or from engineer ro, PM with no business acumen.

Cons

Oh those pros seem like cons. Welcome to ASI. We shrug off a lot of BS because most colleagues are really good, decent, funny people.
