Pros

Good benefits such as 401K matching, pension, vision, etc. Most locations/department have good management. There are a lot of different groups, so it does make it easy to transfer to new positions. Lots of opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Is partially dependent on government contracts, so there could be reductions if the government decides to cut back on their programs. Also, since there are a lot of different groups, it is possible to end up in a group with a bad manager. The company does not do a good job of getting rid of bad managers....

Pros

Beautiful campus, gym and pool on campus for employees. Great people there, smart and friendly

Cons

Too much bureaucracy and red tape to get things done sometimes. Also owners are very fickle about which programs to continue funding after contracts are over. Lots of reorganizations in short amount of time, so hard to be sure of your groups stability/funding

Pros

The work is challenging and the research covers a lot of interesting areas.

Cons

Raises are always lower than inflation, so the real earnings decrease each year. No advancement opportunities.
