Pros

Engineers are given more responsibility than they would find at other companies due to staffing shortages. Opportunities to work directly with vendors and suppliers.

Cons

Unable to retain staff due to below average pay and benefits. Dwindling pipeline of funded projects/programs. Poor industry reputation.

Pros

GA is a well established global company with many impressive products produced for the military and government. Given the size of the company and breadth of knowledge and innovation, it's an exciting place to work.

Cons

Depending on the technology area, department and management you work under, disorganization is a trend. There doesn't seem to be much camaraderie and team spirit in the areas I've worked in.
