Don't expect much but a paycheck and experience

valuable experience in the diagnostic industry, unique products, diverse benefits

Cons

clique/family oriented with lots of favoritism, poor communication amongst ALL employees, utter dysfunction in every department, incredibly high employee turnover, negative attitude amongst employees

Pros

Reasonable work schedule with few managers expecting regular long work weeks Friendly co-workers are the biggest plus okay benefits although the health plan continues to erode every year

Cons

Very bureaucratic culture with workers stuck in silos and little contact between groups Very little internal advancement, most senior positions are filled externally Management by responding to crises and little vision other than milking cash from contracts

Pros

Great benefits, some lovely office locations in San Diego (Torrey Pines) and Poway. Good pay.

Cons

Lack of advancement opportunities for women. It's a very male-centric work environment, extremely sexist across companies and divisions. There are employees across the company who have no modern or new skills but have been here for decades and will not leave and are never let go. It's frustrating because it's hard to change the culture while so many managers are unenthusiastic, bored, and just coming to work for their inflated paycheck (because no middle manager would ever be paid as much as they are at GA after years and years of little COLAs and occasional promotions)...Promotions if you're a man, of course.
