      Pros

      General Atomics is a great company to work for because they treat their employees well. The company has a recreation facility that's open to all employees. The cafeteria serves amazing food with huge portions at a reasonable price.

      Cons

      As an intern though, you don't get to do much mentally stimulating work. Perhaps other interns from other departments would have another experience though.

      Pros

      Company is private and as such, they are not tied to the whims of shareholders.

      Cons

      Management requires a lot and pays a little. Your best raise will come when you come to work with a new job offer. No funding for training, everything is OJT. Severely understaffed because Management's bonuses are directly tied to cost savings. Cradle to grave positions abound. Management has a deep-rooted culture of nepotism. Don't bring your wife or g/f to company functions, they do what they want...in a bad way.

      Excellent people to work with and growth potential at different levels is wide open.

      Communication between upper and middle managers to each other and the floor workers is abysmal.
