Cons
1. Work is systematically and intentionally slowed down and at times completely halted because EB gets paid x1000 an hour more than you do, per person. It is in their best interest that everything is to take as long as possible. I’ll list some examples, and keep in mind, EB received billion+ $$ from the govt just a couple years ago, again, as you read this. An examples to support #1: - Tool scarcity. Massive facilities with easily thousands of employees, and yet you’ll find that they have about a 30% gap at the least between head count and tool supply - Speaking of tools, the location one must go to retrieve their tools for the day is extremely far from your workplace, for 90% of each building. This means you’ll spend around 15-20 minutes on the walk there & back and not even counting the line, as I said, most of the building has to go there for the day - You will be trained by people fresh out of highschool - Your boss may even be fresh out of highschool 2. Other reviews don’t do enough justice with this; It is beyond toxic. You ever get the feeling that someone doesn’t like you? Imagine if it was half the people you meet, and they don’t hide it. You will be liked if you love fishing, a cold beer, and likely have not-so-hidden feelings about minorities 3. Management, like many other places, are hand-picked and special, I mean real special. + they tend little to usually no experience. This is intentional, see con #1. 4. You will be targeted. They will play games with you at random. They do this as a form of control, and they have no problem demonstrating it to anyone who believes they are not 5. Archaic in every way possible. From the time clock machine, to the PCs they expect supervisors to use. 6. If you work a manual labor job here - you will be reminded they think you are worthless garbage. 7. Lack of important information on any job/task. You will more often than not be given rough, vague instructions. Your co-workers likely have no idea what to do either. This results in the work needing to be done x3 over. Your supervisor will debrief you and disappear. See con #1 8. Extremely hazardous workplace with such a severe lack of training that they go over how many people were hurt, weekly. In detail. 9. Parking 10. When you start, you may be third shift in training, second shift in your second half of training, then first shift for your actual job, or vice versa. 11. Shady 12. Racist
