Pros

Good career start company with good people who will help you when needed. Alot of good experience to gain and a well-known company to have on your resume.

Cons

Very poor retention and even poorer salary raises. EB is not a company that rewards employees for doing good work. Doing good work just means more work and unless you're a favorite it won't be the rewards you want. Promotions are just favoritism along with salary raises. Lastly, PTO is a joke and doesn't include any given "sick days", and there isn't enough parking for employees at any of the facilities. Again, its a good career starting company but not for long term.

Pros

Consistent money and usually* don't have to do anything

Cons

They scream in your face about safety then try and force you into places you'll get stuck. Try talking to hr? They'll hide and never pick up calls, they didn't pick up calls for the hiring process they don't answer you when you are an employee and of course, the normal, won't talk once you're fired. The entire management system is set up by nepotism. One even got fired for being in a s trafficking ring and they'll do anything to hide it. And Hire more of their family in the process. I got fired for being unable to show up on days that we were packed in by snow (living an hour away). Also the fact that I was not comfortable and did not like a "supervisor" because they willingly bragged and laughed about abusing family members. Safety department will also scream safety but not actually enforce it. They do a lot in informing others. But nothing to force departments to make sure everyone was safe. A girl was paralyzed and will never work again in another department, yet they haven't had a major shift in safety policies. This company is not for anyone unless your willing to die for 20$ an hour. The other departments that do make more, work so hard that they are miserable, it's not fun to look back on. Welders were miserable, making others around them also miserable, and it's not their fault. They aren't safe because their department heads force them to ignore safety. I've seen sparks fly in my face and others faces. While holding flammable liquids. I was forced to stay there with the flammable liquid and they were forced to continue with their grinding or welding. The union? 6 month probation. Not great but it's fine, if you make it off probation they protect you well. But your final month of probation is a close call. The management is looking to get rid of you, if they want to. They wait til the very end of probation and fire you. I was fired 2 weeks before my probation was over and my union rep wasn't even in town to be aware of what was going on. After that, getting ahold of anyone is miserable. Now, getting rehired, I was told I could immediately start applying again, since I had no discipline issues. Yet every application that goes in immediately goes to declined. There isn't even a chance for it to say "application being reviewed ".
