Pros

401k company match Ability to work with very experienced people who are often experts in their discipline

Cons

Salary workers treated like hourly workers without unionized benefits Expectation to work more than 40 hours per week without getting overtime compensation for all hours worked Management often imposes an accusatory and disrespectful attitude on salaried employees to meet unrealistic schedules General disfunction in day-to-day activity Company preaches innovation and technological advancement to employees but then scoff at anyone who pushes to put it into use Not enough parking for all employees (have to get in really early to get parking at New London location) Transfer of knowledge down chain of command or across departments is poor and inhibits progress from occurring Salaries are rarely based on merit, as a college graduate or experienced professional ... the lists goes on and on ...

Pros

Like the other reviews say, the work is stable Great place to start, not to stay, unless you're ready to settle Pretty decent pay I personally work in a great group of friendly and helpful people New London Facility is nice and scenic Good health insurance and 401K I like the immediate management, supervisors and managers are friendly (that i've dealt with, that is)

Cons

-The company "feels sneaky" (elaborate: I have a friend working in another department and the recently changed their overtime rules: unpaid for the first 5 hours beyond 40, and after 45 hrs, you are paid at your normal rate, so 5 hours of free labor, is that even legal?) - They taxed my reimbursement. (EB generously offers 15 days of reimbursed hotel stay when you start, to give you time to find a place, and they tax that amount like income. Is that even legal?) -Vacation hours (for new hires) went from 10 days to 15 days, but paid sick days went from 30 days (for new hires) to ZERO. I'm going to work even if I get the flu, no way am I using my vacation days to stay home and feel like crap. - Subtle coercion to try and get employees to work more hours by giving you more responsibilities, at the same time, some people have way too much work, and others are twiddling their thumbs, with no work to do. I've heard horror stories of senior engineers working 80+ hours a week) - I was told by a senior coworker that if you want to work for a company that cares about their employees, don't work here. - I don't like the VPs.
