Pros
Within the engineering group, the atmosphere is pleasant and there is little to no micro-management to work with/around. Benefits are good. Annual raises have been about 2-4%. Small annual bonus. Plenty of autonomy for engineers with freedom to build/create/design as desired.
Cons
Very limited opportunities for promotion or lateral transfers to other positions. Many employees / new engineers have hired in at lower pay bands only to remain in the same position for 5+ years with no chance of changing jobs. The result has been good, young, talent leaving for GM, FCA, BAE, etc. The company is run by (mostly) old, white men on the advice of many other older, white men who are retired Army. The result is that management is set in its ways for building combat vehicles & does not value alternate opinions. Business is 100% dependent on government contracts, which is affected by the whims of politicians and Army leaders in Warren.
