Pros

Contributing to the safety of our country and its service men and women. Great place to start career growth and lots of opportunities to explore. Interaction with service men and women who show immense appreciation for work being done. The work itself is extremely rewarding! Really good work-life balance benefits.

Cons

Too much bureaucracy and cooperate politics. 'Good ole boy club' mentality still very present. Meaning, unless you know someone in the higher ranks, the glass ceiling can approach quickly. Promotions are not really based on merits of hard work, leadership, or good character. It's more about who you know.

Pros

- Variety of projects keeps things interesting - UX team is supportive and helps you grow skills related to your interests - Work is fulfilling - Time off and benefits are great

Cons

Procedures take some getting used to and aren't always the most efficient, but it's pretty standard considering our main customers. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea. If you don't do well in environments with very vague instructions and complex policies you need to navigate, it can be frustrating.
