Senior and Middle Management are very disconnected from the employees. There is no long term strategy for sustained growth. Unfortunately the once great company is in a downward spiral. Employees and management who speak the truth are let go. It is a toxic work environment run by fear. The management feels that if you don't like it leave. Talent is running for the hills to Google, Amazon, Intel and others who treat their employees like they deserve to be treated. The leaders think that having company BBQ's and Open Houses will substitute for really listening to employees and investing in their future. There is no leadership development, engineering rotation programs or mentoring going on. Cutting costs and numbers is what the focus is really on. Survival mode is all that matters. The President of the company plays favorites with his lifelong buddies. It is a good old boy network. Women are not promoted or respected. The ones that do work their way near the top are caught up in reduction in force. If you are a vocal woman forget it - you will not have a career there.
