Characteristic of most big defense companies: I wonder how forward thinking GD is. There are many within the company who have great ideas but find it difficult to put them into action because the corporate entity is stuck in the past. This is beginning to change, at GDC4S, the top level are very open to new ideas, but again, sometimes it's the politics and getting through all the others who need to be convinced every step of the way that something should be tried differently. Budget priorities are also a little hard to follow. This is a large company, so obviously priorities are made to get and keep big contracts, however, sometimes that means the smaller things, like updating to 21st century marketing tactics, fall by the way-side.

10% of technical staff are really sharp, the rest are taking up space. Management is asleep at the wheel. Upper management pays no attention to staff morale, and ignores the workers. It's nearly impossible to make an actual difference by doing a good job and going above and beyond.
