Good ole' boys club Being a EE major i have to say GD treats very bad and pays very less to some of the smartest people that bring in programs without degrees or non traditional univ diplomas than ppl with EE. it is unfortunate because 50% of new grads with EE that come in are the average intellect. Promotions are not truly based on performance, there is a automatic clock of 3 yrs to get a promotion, so if you cruise you will get promoted no matter what.. Discrepancy in pays all across teams- team members with same responsibility could have a difference of 10-50% in pay . There is NO EEO standards. Inbreeding of employees, Majority gets hired straight out of school so there is no out of box thinking. Ethical issues -100's of family members working in the same company, dept or teams influencing promo decisions to other things. layoffs occurring for over a year and it is needed due to lack of funding for projects but no management communication as if nothing is going on.
