      Pros

      Dedicated, knowledgeable workforce. Strong heritage and tradition from past continues in workforce. Solid reputation due to sterling reputation in SATCOM community. High level of diversity of product offering.

      Cons

      Cronyism and incompetence rampant at the high levels of management, Executives have been embedded in positions of power for so long that they have no interest in rocking the boat. Everyone else is expendable. Cash is king, The bottom line rules, everyone else is just lucky to have a job.

Regarding your comments and advice to management, as we work to merge General Dynamics C4 Systems and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, we have brought together staff on both sides who are working very hard to extract the best policies and procedures, as well as create new systems to ensure efficiency throughout our company when we transition.       Pros

      I myself struggle to find any positives. I believe in what General dynamics as a whole does for our troops and the difference they make for law enforcement.

      Cons

      Management sucks, pass blame and will not take responsibility. So many great employees have left due to struggles within this company not to mention use and abuse concerning temp employees (Some been there 5+ years).

      Big Mistake Coming Accepting Position at This Company

      Good starting salary. Decent benefits Nice Facility

      Cons

      Layers upon layers of clueless management If you know the right people, a Director position will be created for you. It's almost comical, but very true and sad at the same time. No pay raises for employees while upper management receives huge bonuses and stock price surges. In the 3 yrs I was with this company, I saw constant layoffs of competent long-term employees while relative newcomers like me were spared. Morale is terrible and there is a general feeling that Engineers are interchangeable and disposable. Customer focus is blurred at best. I was very fortunate to get out of this place on my own terms before it destroyed my career.
