      1. brand name: one of top 10 military defense contractor with federal government money funds 2. stepping stone: stay 2-3years, learn everything that you need to, and go to better place. 3. better than average people: generally good, hard workers 4. big company, multi line of buiness: higher probability of getting into different projects. 5. better than average pay market average,or possibly better based on your skills 6.

      Cons

      big company - so find your own way and learn whatever you can learn OR you become just one warm body to check time in and out every single day without producing any significant work..

      Pros

      Very good salary and benefits. The culture is laid back and everyone is friendly here. I have worked in other companies that stress schedule and overtime to the exclusion of family life. This company is not one of them - at least not what I have seen so far. The vast majority of the people I work with work 40 hour work weeks and are not "nose to the grindstone." My management - even the vice president - is actively involved on my program and very cordial with me. My co-workers are very team oriented and work together to solve very difficult issues.

      Cons

      Not very software oriented since it is an engineering firm. Despite the team oriented atmosphere, I often feel like I am working in a vacuum with few people that understand the difficult problems to solve.

      Most positions are contract related. Potential for transfer is high if contract does not get renegotiated.
