Pros

Great place to work - very friendly people and a lot of free food! They also do a lot of out reach into the community and donate to a lot of charities

Cons

Some disorganization when trying to plan projects. Some overtime, but this is dependent on what position you have and how you feel about it.

Pros

The people at General Mills are incredibly friendly and genuinely seem to care about one another. There are a lot of great development opportunities at General Mills, especially for young people who are willing to work hard.

Cons

Lately there has been a lot of change and it feels like General Mills is less focused on work-life balance and more focused on business results.

Pros

Salary and benefits are pretty good. Start with 3 weeks of vacation, up to 4 after 5 yrs. Many opportunities in Manufacturing if you're flexible with locations, although some plants are in the middle of nowhere. Very nice corporate office, too bad is in Minneapolis. Great food manufacturing technology. Solid performance in the industry year after year.

Cons

Big pond with lots of big fish. Takes soo long to implement changes. Preach work life balance but in the manufacturing plants be ready to work 12 hr days almost every single day, even plan on working some weekends with no additional compensation, is pretty much an expectation that you do so. Great corporate jobs, if you are willing to live in the Tundra(Minneapolis)
