Pros

Overall great training ground for business, marketing, and consumer insights Strong Marketing and Consumer Insights capabilities Many opportunities for development/training Opportunity to work with very smart, friendly people

Cons

Very poor work/life balance, even though the company will emphasize otherwise (i.e. in addition to excelling in your job, you will be expected to be involved with various committees and extracurricular activities to move up/be considered for promotion) Insular culture Eternal optimism can be a blinder to reality Location, Location, Location: Minnesota

Pros

General Mills has amazing benefits and so many added little perks, such as an on-site salon, gym, mechanic, etc.

Cons

It seems internal positions are often filled with outside applicants. Current management could do a better job at reaching out to hiring managers on behalf of their employees.
